The Emergency Response and Fire Safety course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to respond to workplace emergencies safely and effectively. It’s ideal for individuals in nominated emergency or warden roles, or those required to act under the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) during an incident.

Training covers pre-emergency planning, immediate response actions, and post-emergency activities in line with established emergency procedures. Participants will learn how to operate within the command, control and communication structure of an ECO, ensuring an organised and effective response to any emergency situation.

The course also develops first attack firefighting skills, including identifying, assessing and safely confining small emergencies such as minor fires, chemical spills, or vehicle incidents. Participants will gain confidence using initial response equipment, including fire extinguishers, spill kits and protective gear, while following facility-specific safety protocols.

By completing this training, participants will be prepared to take calm, informed action in an emergency, supporting both safety and operational continuity in their workplace.
