An entry requirement for NSW Police and emergency services, available at Nelson Bay and Tomago
At Anzen Safety & Training, our Resuscitation Mask course provides practical, hands-on training in the use of a resuscitation (pocket) mask, giving participants the confidence to provide safe and effective rescue breaths in an emergency. Delivered at our Nelson Bay and Tomago training centres, this short course is available to individuals across Port Stephens, Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Our trainers bring real frontline experience from emergency and clinical settings, so you're learning from people who've genuinely used these skills.
This training is a requirement for entry into the NSW Police Force and other emergency services, alongside a current Provide CPR or Provide First Aid certificate. Designed for anyone who may be required to respond when it matters, the course covers how to correctly position and use the mask to protect both the responder and the casualty.
Delivered in a supportive, low pressure environment, participants get plenty of time to practise the skill under guidance until they feel confident. Ideal as a standalone refresher, an entry requirement for emergency services, or alongside your first aid and CPR training, this course helps ensure you're prepared to respond safely and effectively in an emergency.
Book your Resuscitation Mask course at our Nelson Bay or Tomago training centres today.

-
The session is short and flexible, making it easy to fit into the CPR or first aid course you are already doing.
-
Not necessarily, CPR training covers rescue breathing generally, but this session is specifically about correct mask positioning and technique, which some entry pathways require as a distinct, separately assessed skill.
-
It's specifically required as an entry condition for NSW Police Force and some other emergency services, alongside a current Provide CPR or Provide First Aid certificate, so it's usually booked to satisfy that particular requirement rather than as general skills training.
