UETDRMP018 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

This nationally recognised unit provides electrical workers across Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Tomago with the skills and knowledge to safely perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical industry environment (excluding overhead lines and underground cables).

The course covers the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how these apply to electricity supply industry (ESI) and electrical industry workers meeting work health and safety (WHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

Designed for participants already working in, or familiar with, electrical industry environments, this practical training covers industry standard PPE and rescue equipment, safe approach distances and rescue procedures conducted under network operator conditions. Participants will learn to review site specific hazards, isolation processes and emergency response requirements, and demonstrate the ability to safely remove a casualty and provide immediate first aid until professional medical help arrives.

Ideal for electrical workers across the Hunter region needing to maintain competency in live LV panel rescue in line with industry and organisational safety frameworks.
