UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
This nationally recognised unit is designed for non-electrical workers who are required to work near powerlines or electrical apparatus, covering the responsibilities and safe work practices needed to stay protected in these high risk environments. Delivered across Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Tomago, this course is essential for anyone whose work brings them into proximity with live electrical infrastructure without being an electrical worker themselves.
Completing the course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to stay safe and meet compliance requirements for safe approach distances for workers, plant, tools and equipment. Combining real life practical skills with theoretical knowledge, the training equips participants to identify and mitigate hazards in their working environment before they become incidents.
Due to the high risk nature of working near live electrical apparatus, this course is a mandatory requirement for specific industries, ensuring employees develop and maintain the professional skills needed to work safely around electrical infrastructure.
